On March 7th, 2019, Acting Director of Ijevan Branch of “Yerevan State University” Foundation, Associate Professor of the Department of General Mathematics and Natural Sciences, PhD Artak Tsutsulyan and Slavik Alaverdyan, Inspector of Professional Orientation and Practice Department visited Ijevan high school after Garnik Ananyan.

The school director Gayane Edilyan introduced the 12th graders to the university representatives.

Then Mr. Tsutsulyan delivered a lecture on mathematics. He presented the role and applications of mathematics in various fields of life and listed the professions needed mathematical knowledge.

He particularly touched upon the fascinating problems of the ancient period (Surface Area of the Earth, Earth Curvature Calculation), methods of proof (contradictory hypothesis, mathematical induction) and mathematical models.

At the end of the lecture, the University representatives introduced YSUIB Full-time training program specialties of 2019 academic year and required examinations, answered the students’ questions and hoped to see them in the future as a student.

 On March 6th, 2019, Vanush Karapetyan, manager of “Tavush” Branch of “ACBA-CREDIT AGRICOLE BANK” CJSC and several employees visited YSU Ijevan Branch.

The meeting aimed to introduce the possibilities of taking internships in the banks as well as introduce the programs available to students enrolled in Full-time and Part-time training programs of “Theory of Economics”, “Finance” of the Faculty of Economics.

The meeting was attended by Acting Dean of the Faculty of Economics G. Avetisyan, responsible for “Finance” educational program A.Saribekyan, YSUIB representatives and students of different specialties.

The seminar was conducted by Vanush Karapetyan, manager of ACBA-CREDIT AGRICOLE BANK CJSC Tavush Branch.

He particularly touched upon the benefits of new scholarship bank cards, in particular the absence of commission and service fees.

Mr. Karapetyan underlined that ACBA-CREDIT AGRICOLE BANK CJSC has the largest number of ATMs in the country, which speaks of the convenience of banking services.

A.Saribekyan, responsible for “Finance” educational program, suggested that YSUIB students pass an additional and paid internship at “Tavush” Branch.

The seminar was in an engaging and interactive atmosphere.

The program “Subsidizing interest rates for agriculture loans” was presented, which provided loans for the production, processing and harvesting of agricultural products. It was noted that the loans were provided both for replenishment of working capital and for maintaining current expenses of the economy, as well as for investments.

The Branch manager advised the students to use “ACBA Mobile” application, which allows to manage accounts without visiting the bank, anywhere, at any time, having only mobile phones  Android or iOS, tablets, smartphones and Internet access.
