INVITATION TO A SEMINAR ON “BUSINESS SKILLS”

     YSU Ijevan_Business Skills

 Dear Universitarians, YSU Ijevan Branch is pleased to invite to take part in a two-day seminar on “Business Skills” within the framework of the “Youth Empowered” three-year program of “Coca-Cola HBC” Company, implemented by IAB International Academy of Business, on December 13 and 14, 2018, at 14:00-18:00.

Until the 2020, the program envisages to support as much as 8000 young participants with life and business skills trainings.

 The seminars are free of charge.

1500 youth from Yerevan and regions have already participated in a full day “Life skills” training, and the next seminar will be held in Tavush Region on “Business Skills”.

 After the seminar, those who have a viable business idea will have an opportunity to participate in the “Armenia Startup Cup” Start up Contest. The winners will present their business ideas to the members of funding commission.

YSU IJEVAN BRANCH BOARD MEETING OF DECEMBER 6

 On December 6th, 2018, Ijevan Branch of “Yerevan State University” Foundation Board Meeting took place headed by A. V. Tsutsulyan.

On the agenda were the attendance of the students during the first semester of 2018-2019 academic years, several current issues and the preparations for the mid-term exams of the same semester.

The Deans of four faculties of YSUIB and the Head of Part-time Learning Department reported on the attendance of students in the first semester of 2018-19 academic years.

It was particularly mentioned that in the Faculty of Humanities during 2018, September 1- December 5, there are no students with poor attendance in the “French language and literature” IV, “Foreign language and literature” I and II, “Elementary pedagogy and methodology” I, “History” II,  “Armenian Language and Literature “II and III,” Psychology “IV courses. In the other courses, 23 students had poor attendance.

At the Faculty of Economics, 23 students were reprimanded by the dean, 2 students; by the director and another 5 students were also reprimanded.

In general, the lowest attendance was in the following courses of YSUIB Full-time learning: “Informatics and Applied Mathematics” IV and II, “Service” IV, “Theory of Economy” IV, “Economy” III and “History” III.

During the session, it was also decided to remove 15 students of the Department of Part-time Learning, students having 60 or more absence during the first semester of 2018-2019 academic years and students who failed to pay semester tuition fee or partial payout and students who failed to pass the exams.

  1. Davtyan, head of the educational-methodological department of YSUIB, reported on preparations for the mid-term examinations of the first semester of 2018-2019 academic years. In particular, he noted that according to the schedule of 2018-2019 academic years, the mid-term exams of Bachelor’s Full-time learning will be held from December 22 to December 28, 2018, and mid-term exams of Part-time learning will be held on December 6-20, 2018.

It was emphasized that the Educational-Methodical Department has done the necessary preparatory work to properly conduct the exam period. The branch faculties and Part-time learning departments have been provided with notebooks for mid-term examinations and paper forms for the tests were numerated and sealed. The presented schedules were checked and then a timetable was drawn to carry out the exam process in 4 classrooms equipped with cameras. A schedule has been drawn up for day-to-day oversight during the exam.

The Branch is ready to start the examination period.

THE FOURTH-YEAR STUDENTS OF “HISTORY” SPECIALTY (PART-TIME TRAINING) MADE COGNITIVE VISITS WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF THEIR INTERNSHIP

48368179_1147266582104977_7632275164096364544_n On December 4-11th,2018, within the framework of 2018-2019 academic year internship, the 4th-year students of YSUIB Faculty of “History” (part-time training) visited historic-cultural places of Ijevan and Dilijan and other institutions, accompanied by the Head of Internship, lecturer of the Department of Armenian History and Social Sciences A. Mkrtumyan.

On December 4th, they visited Ijevan Historical-Cultural Museum. Within the framework of the internship, students got acquainted with the museum’s activities, collection of samples and exhibits, and asked questions to the museum researcher.

On December 5th of the same year, students visited  Tavush branch of RA National Archive. They got acquainted with the history of the archive, funds and  Mr. R. Vardumyan, head of the archive, answered students’ questions.

On December 6 and 7th, within the framework of the internship, the fourth-year students of “History” specialty visited St. Nerses Shnorhali, St. Amenaprkich churches of Ijevan, got acquainted with the history of churches, church holidays and rituals.

On December 11th, the students visited Dilijan Folk Art Museum named after H. Sharambeyan and Dilijan Geological Museum. They first got acquainted with the history of museums, activities, then went through sections and got acquainted with the items and pictures of the museums.

On the same day, the students also visited  Haghartsin and Goshavank churches. After getting acquainted with folklore materials and history of its creation, the students toured the territory of the churches and got acquainted with its architectural features.
