On December 14^th,2018,at YSUIB sports hall, “Azdak” Sport Event was held summarizing the series of events entitled “Equal Opportunities, Equal Rights” dedicated to the Month of Protection of the Rights of people with Disabilities (November 15 to December 15). It was organized in partnership with Ijevan branch of “Bridge of Hope” NGO, Aygehovit Community Development Volunteer Group of YSUIB, and “Arevik” Social-Educational Center of Tavush Diocese.

The event was attended by 40 participants from Gandzakar, Sevkar, Tsaghkavan Secondary School, Bridge of Hope NGO, ‘Arevik” social-educational center.

The event was attended also by YSUIB Acting Director A. V. Tsutsulyan, administrative staff, students, Director of “Arevik” Social-Educational Center M. Arakelyan, “Bridge of Hope” NGO and school teachers.

The event was conducted by YSUIB Acting Head of the Department of Emergency Situations and Sports .A.Vanesyan, lecturers of the department V. Poghosyan and P. Karapetyan.

During “Azdak” event ,various exercises (exercises with gymnastics rings, passage through the sack, the transfer of the Olympic ring, etc.) were performed.

The winners were the students of “Bridge of Hope” NGO.

At the end of the event, the participants were awarded with certificates and encouraging gifts, and the winning team also received a diploma and a cup.

On December 12^th,2018, IAB International Academy of Business organized a workshop on “Business Skills”  for YSU Ijevan Branch lecturers.

The workshop was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Associate Professor of the Department of General Economics, Ph.D. Gayane Avetisyan, Assistant of the same Department Anzhela Aleksanyan, lecturers Hripsime Hayrapetyan, Arpine Yeganyan and Marieta Atabekyan, lecturer of the Department of General Mathematics and Natural Sciences Slavik Alaverdyan.

Director of IAB International Academy of BusinessTamara Hovhannisyan presented the structure, modules of “Business Skills” workshop (Project Management, Time Management, Negotiations, Business Plan, Financial Management, Sales Skills, etc.), the necessary didactic and distributed materials, exercises and group work, within the framework of “Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling Company Armenia” “Youth Empowered”Program).

Then Anna Konjoryan, HR Manager of Synergy Armenia, an employee of the same academy, conducted a seminar on “Effective Teaching Skills”.

At the end of the seminar,the participants received certificates.

On December 13-14, as well as in January 2019, the trainers will conduct seminars for young people of Tavush region within the framework of “Youth Empowered”Program.

 On December 12^th, 2018, Badminton Branch (girls) championship took place at YSU Ijevan Branch.

16 students of the Faculty of Natural Sciences “Cartography and Cadastre”, “Informatics and Applied Mathematics” and 2nd year students of “Finance” and “Tourism” of the Faculty of Economics took part in the championship.

The games took place in an Olympic way; the loser was out of the competition.

Ruzanna Kamalyan (“Finance” II) – Anush Nazinyan (“Finance” II), Inna Soghomonyan (“Informatics and Applied Mathematics” II) – Marianna Asatryan (“Tourism” II) had to compete for the finals.

The pairs Ruzanna Kamalyan (“Finance” II) and Marianna Asatryan (“Tourism” II) competed for the title of the winner.

After a persistent competition, Marianna Asatryan won the game.

Marianna Asatryan and Ruzanna Kamalyan were awarded with diplomas by YSUIB Directorate.

 On December 4-11^th,2018, within the framework of 2018-2019 academic year internship, the 4th-year students of YSUIB Faculty of “History” (part-time training) visited historic-cultural places of Ijevan and Dilijan and other institutions, accompanied by the Head of Internship, lecturer of the Department of Armenian History and Social Sciences A. Mkrtumyan.

On December 4th, they visited Ijevan Historical-Cultural Museum. Within the framework of the internship, students got acquainted with the museum’s activities, collection of samples and exhibits, and asked questions to the museum researcher.

On December 5^th of the same year, students visited  Tavush branch of RA National Archive. They got acquainted with the history of the archive, funds and  Mr. R. Vardumyan, head of the archive, answered students’ questions.

On December 6 and 7th, within the framework of the internship, the fourth-year students of “History” specialty visited St. Nerses Shnorhali, St. Amenaprkich churches of Ijevan, got acquainted with the history of churches, church holidays and rituals.

On December 11th, the students visited Dilijan Folk Art Museum named after H. Sharambeyan and Dilijan Geological Museum. They first got acquainted with the history of museums, activities, then went through sections and got acquainted with the items and pictures of the museums.

On the same day, the students also visited  Haghartsin and Goshavank churches. After getting acquainted with folklore materials and history of its creation, the students toured the territory of the churches and got acquainted with its architectural features.
